Story always comes first.

FILM & TV

Chief creative Michael Fiore edited the feature film titled Jack Ketchum’s “The Girl Next Door” and oversaw both the sound mix and color correction.  Based on the controversial book of the same name, the Anchor Bay feature film release has been equally polarizing.  Stephen King called the film “the first authentically shocking American film he has seen since ‘Henry:  Portrait of a Serial Killer’.”  Michael’s editorial embraced many Hitchcockian techniques where violence was implied and often occurs off-screen.  This approach can be more terrifying for the audience as the imagination can often paint a stronger image.
